Driving back up from Lake Tahoe to Reno we decided to take a slight detour and visit Virginia
City. Like so many places we've seen and enjoyed on our travels, finding this gem was an accident.
The town consists of little but a main street, but it is a main street straight out of a western film. Covered boardwalks line each side of the street and we really enjoyed a long stop there. we left feeling we had much more to see and do and that is always a good sign about a place.
