This was the only fly drive part of this particular holiday. After the route described on this page, we flew down to Orlando from Denver to spend a week at Disney World.
Day 1 Flew into Denver and drove just outside the city to overnight.
Day 2 Drove from Denver to Casper a total of 300 miles via
Laramie and Medicine Bow
Day 3 Drove to Thermopolis a drive of only 135 miles finishing through the magnificent Wind River Canyon
Day 4 After a full day in Thermopolis drove the 85 miles to Cody
Day 5 Stayed in Cody
Day 6 Drove to Gardiner Montana via Eastern leg of the Yellowstone Park loop road. Only a drive of 130 miles but it took all day because of the many stops along the way.
Day 7 Drove to West Yellowstone Montana via Western leg of the Yellowstone Park loop road. A drive of 80 miles, but again a full day because of all there is to see.
Day 8 Drove to Jackson Hole via South Yellowstone Park and Grand Teton National Park after driving 130 miles but seeing Old Faithful, Jackson Lake Lodge and the Grand Tetons on the way making another full day.
Day 9 Stayed in Jackson
Day 10 Drove to Green River a 190 mile drive.
Day 11 Drove to Craig via Dinosaur National Monument a drive of 235 miles making it a very full day with the trip to Dinosaur included.
Day 12 Drove to Grand Lake a superb 135 mile drive up the western slope of the rockies.
Day 13 Stayed in Grand Lake
Day 14 Drove to Northglenn via Rocky Montain National Park a breathtaking (literally, you are three miles above sea level!) 115 mile drive
Day 15 Drove to Denver airport to fly on to Orlando
